Upon arrival, we were impressed to find this oasis of comfort and luxury in a peaceful setting on the outskirts of Auckland. The quality of the rooms make you feel like you have landed in a 5 star luxury resort, the service received from the hosts was world class and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. During the evening we had dinner with Paddy and guests and shared some stories over a few glasses of wine, which was a highlight of our trip as the hosts gave us insight into their lives in New Zealand and the remarkable journey that they undertook when designing and building the this fantastic lodge. ”

“ It has been designed and constucted by two of the most hospitable people one could ever meet, Paddy and Judy, and everything about O’Gradys is pure class.It begins at the front door with the welcome , continues into the bedrooms and bathrooms, immaculately and tastefully furnished, full of “ little extras “, flowers, homemade biscuits and chocolates, expresso coffee machine with coffe pods, all sorts of treats in the fridge, and many more.Breakfasts were wonderful, full of fresh exotic fruits and breads, with of course the full cooked option to follow.. ”

The rooms are large, beautiful and tastefully decorated with a lot of attention to detail such as bathrobes, mini bar, coffee making facilities, flowers, fruit, biscuits, chocolates, etc. The breakfasts are exceptional and tasty, you definitely can’t get better.”
